29th November

Today we film the scenes with me sending the girls emails and constantly ringing their phones. Filming these small clips was easy and we managed to do it quickly without any problems. We also shot the scene of me walking down the corridor and falling over with my bags and ring for the girls. I had to stay on the floor for quiet a while to film so close up shots and it was VERY cold but I don’t mind taking one for the team.

22nd November

On this day we didn’t have our story board so it left us in a bit of a bad situation so we decided to watched the animatic and decided on what shots we wanted to film so we didn’t waste time doing nothing. But we did manage to film a few shots that would be useful to us if we needed them.

17th November

Today we shot the scene of the girls doing their performances and me coming on the stage bothering them. Filming went well and we got quiet alot of shots that we liked and a few that we didn’t like either. Some of the shots we got today are also going to be used for our digi packs. We also took pictures on the green screen just to see what the lighting would look like and we got some good pictures there to.

Test Shots And Lighting 10th November

During today's lesson we went to room with a white background and took some tester shots to see what we could come up with. We took a fair amount of pictures and moved the lights around to see what we could get, some were good most of them we did not like.




Here is a picture that we all liked as a group and feel that this is the sort of lighting that we want for our video. The lighting in this tester shot has a nice white white contrast in the background which makes the light look more sleek.

Video Analysis

At the very beginning of the video there is a black background with white writing with a quotation. The colors of black and white have been used to get the audience attention to the writing straight away because they are two colors that stand out well together. The writing on the screen is to straight away let the audience know that there is going to be a story told throughout the video and that the audience should think about that quote through out the video.

After the words at the beginning there is a abit of dialogue between Drake and a Man. This is done to reiterate that this song has meaning and a story to it. The beginning of the video has many quick shots of Drake in the club and the studio this shows that he has a busy life style and that he is allways on the move. The Lighting of the video is very dark and has alot if red and green flashing during the video sometimes bluring the screen. The flashing lights are shown to show the night life of the of the rapper. In the club they show all the girls dancing with other men and the club full of girls but Drake on his own staring at the woman with the man who kills him at the end. This scene is showing that drake is making that decision in his mind to cross the line without realising which goes back to the quote at the beginning.
